When the song had to be shot, director Subhash Ghai was not happy with how Neena looked. He said that she should wear a 'padded blouse'. When the filmmaker, who was a star name in the 1980s and 1990s in Bollywood, said that she should stuff something, Neena couldn't shoot for the whole day. "But the next day I was presented to him in a different outfit, with a bra that was heavily padded, and he seemed satisfied," Neena told Zoom.
In another incident, which left her terrified, a well-known South Indian film producer (whom she didn't name in her book) harassed her by making a sexual advance. She went to the producer's hotel for a role in a southern film. The producer asked her to come over to his room. Neena did so against her instinct. When she went to the producer's room, the latter briefed her about his track record of launching several actresses. He talked about Neena's role and when the actress said that she doesn't want to play the insignificant character, he asked her if she would like to spend the night with him. “Suddenly, I felt like someone had just poured a bucket of ice water on my head. My blood froze," she added.
