It has been announced that director Arun Matheswaran's wife Ranjani, who is working as the co-director of her husband in Dhanush's 'Captain Miller' is making her debut as a director soon.

Arun Matheswaran a former associate of Arunraja Kumaraja made heads turn with his debut movie 'Rocky' starring Bharathiraja and Vasanth Ravi. He later made the critically acclaimed 'Sani Kaayidham' starring Keerthy Suresh and Selvaraghavan. Dhanush saw the potential in him and immediately agreed to do 'Captain Miller' with him. The period film which had extensive shooting schedules got completed recently and is in postproduction.

Ranjani Matheswaran has assisted her husband in 'Captain Miller' and when she narrated a story to top Bengaluru based production house KRG Studios it was immediately green lit. Karthik Gowda the owner of the production company has shared "This is the best action story I have ever heard and will be the first Tamil film under our banner. We will release the full information about this exciting film soon and for now I can say that the story takes place entirely in Tirunelveli. The casting is underway".

Already female directors such as Sudha Kongara, Halitha Shameem, (Pushkar) Gayathri, Krithika Udayanidhi and Lakshmi Ramakrishnan have made a big impact in the Tamil film indusry. Now we can expect Ranjani Arun Matheswaran to also follow suit.
