Director Arun Matheswaran made a dashing entry into Tamil cinema with 'Rocky' in 2021, which received widespread acclaim from critics. His second film 'Saani Kaayidham' was a direct OTT release and it attracted action film lovers. Then, we all know that Arun teamed up with Dhanush for his ambitious project 'Captain Miller'.

'Captain Miller' is a period war action drama with Dhanush in the titular role of a renegade warrior who turns against British rule in India during the pre-Independence era. This movie is part of a multi-film franchise that includes a prequel and sequel. Now, director Arun Matheswaran has opened up about his upcoming film slate in a recent interview.

Arun said that he is planning to do an independent film which will be helmed, produced and cinematographed by himself. It's his next movie after 'Captain Miller' and only 15 days of shooting are planned for it. Then, he confirmed reuniting with Dhanush for a high-budget period historical movie under Wunderbar Studios. He also signed a project under Y Not Studios.
