Mollywood filmmaker Sanal Kumar Sasidharan was today arrested by the Kerala police in Thiruvananthapuram. Earlier, star Malayalam actress Manju Warrier lodged a complaint against the filmmaker for allegedly stalking her since 2019.

As per reports, the policemen today appeared at Sanal's house in mufti. They told him that a case under Section 354D (stalking) of the IPC was registered against him for trying hard to propose to Manju through email, social media, phone, etc. over the years.

Surprisingly, only a few days ago, Sanal claimed in a Facebook post that Manju has been kidnapped by some unknown forces. He tried to suggest that nobody was worrying about her well-being.

On Wednesday, the director even claimed that Kerala is unsafe for him. It's not known what the motives behind the posts are. A report says that Manju had been asking him not to put out posts on her. With him not stopping, she lodged a police complaint.

During today's arrest, too, the filmmaker tried to resist by claiming that the ones who were arresting him were not cops but some goondas.
