Today is the birthday of director A.R.Murugadoss, the pan Indian pride of Tamil cinema,

Murugadoss is strong in his stories and dialogues among the current generation of directors. One of the main reasons for this may be that he started his creative journey as a skit writer in college days and also worked as an assistant to veteran film screen writer P.Kalaimani before becoming an Assistant director to S.J.Suryah.

The maverick filmmaker made his directorial debut with the 'Dheena' whose success got him a strong launchpad in Tamil cinema apart from being a landmark flick in Thala Ajith's career. His union with Ilayathalapathy Vijay has ended in two excellent outings viz. 'Thuppakki' and 'Kaththi' and both are huge blockbusters in the acting career of Vijay.

He enjoys phenomenal success rate as a director and he is a well renowned director in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries. Each of his films fall under different genres. Most of his films have had social concern as its backbone and have dealt with social issues in a hard hitting and highly impact full manner.

At present Murugadoss is directing the Tamil-Telugu bilingual with Mahesh Babu and Rakul Preet Singh in lead roles.

Murugadoss is also carved a niche as a produce of quality films.
