Nayanthara has been ruling the south cine industry as the Lady Superstar for a few years now. She will soon be making her debut in Bollywood. The talented actress has much-awaited projects in her kitty in multiple languages. Now, we have news about her upcoming Malayalam film 'Gold'.

Director Alphonse Puthren, who is best known for his movies - 'Neram' and 'Premam', has returned to filmmaking after 7 years with the Prithviraj and Nayanthara starrer 'Gold'. The film's teaser was released earlier and went viral. Gold was initially supposed to release on September 8 but the latest is that the theatrical release was postponed to a later date.

Taking to his Facebook page, the director posted, "Due to work delay on our side 'Gold' will be releasing one week after Onam. Please forgive us for the delay caused. Hoping to compensate this delay through our work when 'Gold' releases." It is worth mentioning that the makers have planned to release the film without the prior release of a trailer and the songs.

Alphonse Puthren himself has taken care of editing, stunts, animation, VFX, colour grading, screenwriting and direction in 'Gold'. The movie will have plenty of guest appearances from a bunch of actors. Produced by Prithviraj Productions & Magic Frames, 'Premam' fame music composer Rajesh Murugesan has scored music for the movie.
