IG Exclusive: Popular Kollywood Director Acquired Theri Theatrical Rights

Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri' is getting ready to hit the screens on April 14 and the business over theatrical rights is going on in full swing. So far the release rights of USA and Canada in the overseas segment, Kerala and Coimbatore have been sold to various leading distributors.

Now Indiaglitz has exclusive learnt that rights of releasing this kick ass entertainer directed by Atlee in Madurai has been acquired by a prominent Kollywood celebrity.

Acclaimed director Ameer will be releasing 'Theri' in theaters across Madurai. Sources close to the film's producer Kalaipuli.S.Thanu have confirmed this news to Indiaglitz.

Ameer, the director of a National award winning film like 'Paruthiveeran' acquiring the release rights of 'Theri' is a solid proof for the confidence of even the Kollywood's top celebrities about the success of the Vijay starrer,

While many directors are queuing up to direct Vijay, a prominent director is releasing the star's film in theaters. This is definitely an important milestone in Vijay's career.
