Director Ameer is presently busy with the pre-production for his upcoming directorial 'Santhana Devan' with Arya and Sathya in lead roles. He will also be acting in this film in an important role.
Meanwhile the 'Paruthiveeran' director will be seen as an actor, that too as a farmer in a film directed by one of his former assistants.
Ameer's protege Gopal makes his entry into Kollywood as a director with a film titled 'Achamillai Achamillai' This film reportedly deals with a serious problem prevalent in Tirppur and Coimbatore districts of Tamil Nadu.
Ameer will be playing the cameo role of a farmer character which comes for around 15 minutes in the film.
Director Gopal is also producing the film. 3/4th of the shooting has been completed.
The rights for the title has been duly obtained from legendary director K.Balachander's daughter Pushpa Kandasamy as the late director had made a rural political film with the same title in 1984.
