Following the Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) massive drug bust in February, the Tamil film producer Jaffer Sadiq was found to be the head of a drug network spanning various countries. He was the producer of director-actor Ameer's 'Iraivan Miga Periyavan' movie.
The film's production work was halted when Jaffer Sadiq was arrested by the NCB in March. On Sunday, the NCB summoned Ameer Sultan for an investigation in this case at their headquarters in Delhi on April 2nd. The filmmaker said that he would face the investigation with honesty and valour in an audio message yesterday.
Meanwhile, reports broke out today that Ameer sought grace time from the NCB to appear in person. He was said to have requested to appear after the Ramzan festival in his letter. However, Ameer has cleared the air through a new channel that he is in New Delhi currently and will take on the investigation tomorrow. This is now doing rounds on the internet.
