Awesome: Coimbatore auto driver in Venice Film Festival for 'Visaranai'

The prestigious Venice Film Festival is going on now and the Dhanush-Vetrimaaran co-production Visaranai` is being screened on the 10th and 11th of September. The film, directed by Vetrimaaran stars Dinesh, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Aadukalam Murugadoss and Kayal Anandhi.

Visaranai` is actually based on a novel Lockup` written by 53 year old auto driver Chandrakumar who based his story on his younger days when he was unlawfully detained and tortured in an Andhra police station for 13 days. Chandrakumar is also participating in the film festival along with producer-director Vetrimaaran.
