The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Edappadi Pazhaniswamy and his cabinet of ministers today passed a resolution dismissing Dinakaran from the post of deputy General Secretary. It has been stated that since Jayalalitha ousted Dinakaran from the party earlier his appointment by Sasikala is not valid. Party members have been advised to ignore all postings that Dinakaran recently announced.
The dismissal of Dinakaran which effectively holds good for Sasikala also could open the doors for the much talked about merger of EPS and OPS. Speculations are rife that on the 15th of August, Independence Day OPS could take over as ADMK leader and deputy CM and talks are heading that way. The next week or could be an interesting one in TN politics and could change the unstable situation that has prevailed since the passing away of Jayalalitha.
