Dileep essays a character named Roopesh Nambiar in his upcoming movie 'Love 24X7' directed by Sreebala K Menon. The movie has him playing a dedicated journalist who is upfront and very straightforward. He hosts some shows and is a popular news anchor for the channel 'Nalamidam' (which stands for Fourth Estate). The movie will have all the intimate ins and outs of what happens behind the screen in a media newsroom and studio.

Dileep says that playing the character has made him realize that the job of a news anchor is not at all easy. He says that when he reads from the teleprompter, he gets tensed thinking if he will fumble with the lines and adds that doing it live requires immense skill.

Nikhili Vimal plays a trainee journalist named Kabani who falls in love with Roopesh and Sreenivasan plays Umar who is head of the news division. Others including Suhasini, Shankar Ramakrishnan, Lena etc are part of the movie. 'Life repeats itself' is the movie's tagline, which points to the fact of one life often mirroring other lives.
