Dileep's 'Ramaleela' hit the theatres amidst calls for the boycott. The movie ran into trouble after the arrest of its hero Dileep in the actress attack case on July 10. The release was delayed with the makers waiting for Dileep's release from jail. However, the actor was in jail when Ramaleela hit the theatres on September 28th. 

Much to the delight of his fans, Dileep has secured bail today after being behind the bars for 85 days. Talking about Dileep’s bail being accepted by the Kerala High Court, Ramaleela’s producer Tommichan Mulakupadam said that he would ensure Dileep gets to watch the movie. Tommichan said that the entire Ramaleela team have been eagerly waiting to see Dileep out of jail when the movie was released. He said that Dileep has seen the movie only during its dubbing. Tommichan also expressed his happiness on the audiences having unanimously accepted Ramaleela, despite being postponed twice. Meanwhile, 'Ramaleela' the political thriller successfully crossed the 6 Crore mark at the Kerala box office, just within the first weekend.
