The controversies surrounding the campagining of Mohanlal for Ganesh Kumar in the upcoming elections has lead to fellow cine artistes supporting or opposing the Mohanlal's gesture depending on their political affiliation. While actors like Salim Kumar has expressed his ire by quitting AMMA, the film association, others have come out in support.

Actor Dileep has come out openly in support of Ganesh Kumar and has been actively campaigning for him. He was seen asking for votes for Ganesh Kumar. Meanwhile the actor also supported Mohanlal.
