Dileep, Shwetha Menon, Indian Rupee wins the state Awards

Dileep and Shwetha Menon was adjudged the best actors in the year's State awards announced today. While 'Indian Rupee' was named the best film of 2011, Blessy was named the best director for his 'Pranayam'.
Dileep was named for his performance in 'Vellaripravinte Changathy', Shwetha Menon was named for her performance in 'Salt N Pepper'. Bobby-Sanjay was selected as the best scriptwriters for their 'Traffic' while Jagathy Sreekuamr was adjudged the best comedian for his character in 'Swapnasanchari'.
Aashiq Abu's 'Salt N Pepper' was named the best popular movie while Fahad Fazil got the first award in his career, this time the 2nd best actor award for his performance in 'Akam' and 'Chappa Kurisu'. Nilamboor Ayisha was named the second best actress for her role in 'Oomakkuyil Paadumpol'.
Sudeep and Shreya Goshal will be awarded the best playback singers for their songs in 'Rarthinirvedham'. P Balachandran's 'Ivan Megharoopan' was selected as the second best film. Sharath was named the best music director for his work in ' IVanmegaharoopan'. Deepak Dev will be awarded for best BG scores.
Dr. Biju was given a special jury award for his 'Aakashathinte Niram' which also fetched its cinematographer M J Radhakrishnan, the award for best cinematographer.
