Actor Dileep says that he is done with remakes. His last remake was 'Ivan Maryadharaman' which was a film remade from Telugu. It hadn't done well at the box office. Dileep says that he no longer wants to be part of remakes as it doesn't go well with Malayali sensibilities. He notes that Malayalis would rather download the original version, watch it and lambaste the makers.

Dileep adds that wonderful scripts are coming from Mollywood and that he would rather spend time listening to such scripts and doing them instead of remakes. The actor also notes that Malayali movies gets remade in other languages easily, but that the reverse is difficult. He had purchased the rights of Bollywood movie 'Vicky Doner' but has no plans to go ahead with it.
