Dileep plays anti-hero

After serious portrayals in Chakkarapottan, Dileep takes to an anti-hero role in Inspector Garud.

Director Johny Anthony and Dileep team up after the successful outing in Kochi Rajavu and CID Moosa.

Says the director, "Dileep plays Madhavankutty alias Inspector Garud taking charge of Thevara police station. He soon becomes friendly with the affluent in the area. Things get out of hand, however, when he gets into a tiff with sub collector Sethulakshmi, without realising her identity."

Kavya Madhavan plays an IAS officer in the movie.

Adds Johny, 'It's a wholesome entertainer. Action and comedy also find place in the movie."

The director adds that a sequel to CID Moosa is also in the pipeline.

Produced by Milan Jaleel under the banner Galaxy films, Inspector Garud will hit the theatres towards the end of January 2007. Lyrics by Vayalar Sarat Chandra Varma have been set to tunes by Alex Paul.
