Playing it safe is Dileep. A series of films featuring him in macho-man's role managed just an average outing. He was quick to shed the dreams of establishing himself as an actor keen on doing serious films.

The success of Chandupottu did revived his career and also ensured that he go on to such meaningful roles rather that playing a gun-totting hero.

Now Dileep has been evincing keen interest in picking up right scripts and good storylines. His next Chakkaramuthu for Lohithadas is one such film where he has proved his acting skills donning a tough character. Also after Chakkaramuthu, he would act in Sathyan Anthikad's film.
