The only similarity between Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Ghum and Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is they both have two contemporary superstars playing brothers. There is absolutely no truth in the rumour that the latter is an adaptation of the 2002 Bollywood film.

Dil Raju himself has now put an end to the figment of imagination by categorically saying that his film is an original subject. Ever since the announcement of the film, it has been said that the film is loosely (or tightly, according to some versions) based on K3G.

This rumour has co-existed with another version about the negativity of Anjali's character. Anjali, who is playing Venkatesh’s wife, is said to be playing a spoilsport in the unity of the Prakash Raj family. However, K3G had no negative character. According to some versions, there is an element in SVSC that one of the brothers goes out the household. This only added strength to the rumour that it is a version of K3G.
