Dil Raju, one of the producers of 'Maharshi', has officially announced the postponement of the film. It will release on May 9.
"Vamsi Paidipally has really worked hard on the script for 2 years. 'Maharshi' is going to be one of his finest movies ever. Although the execution has been very good, the post-production works are taking time. We don't want to complete them in a hurry. So, Mahesh Babu garu, I and others met yesterday to discuss the issue. We have collectively decided to release the film on May 9," Dil Raju revealed.
"With films like this, nobody can afford to compromise on quality. It's a coincidence that May 9 is lucky for C Ashwini Dutt garu (one of the producers) because it's on this date that 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari' and 'Mahanati' were released. 'Arya', 'Bhadra' and 'Parugu' under our banner were also released on this date. So, we are very positive," he added.
"Maharshi could turn out to be the best film in Mahesh garu's career. We are that confident. By the time 'Maharshi' releases, the election season will be over. Students will be enjoying their holidays. Family audiences will enjoy our film," Dil Raju said.
