At a press meet held today in Hyderabad, Dil Raju said, "When I watched Raja Rani, I wanted to remake it. But I could not. Last month when I watched the promos of Policeodu, I felt I should bring it to Telugu audience. This was the feeling when I released Shankar-produced Vaishali and OK Bangaram. Vijay is a big star in Kollywood. Our audience will embrace good cinema regardless of the language."

Atlee said, "After Raja Rani, I got many offers in Telugu. After this film, I will make a film in Telugu. Coming to Policeodu, the character played by Samantha is a big asset. It's an emotional family entertainer. It tells how a child should be brought up."
