'Dil Dhadakne Do' newbie Ridhima Sud bags John Abraham's film

Ridhima Sud, who will be making her debut with Zoya Akhtar's 'Dil Dhadakne Do', is certainly looking forward to spreading her wings beyond the big banners. The popular 'Ponds' famed beauty turned lucky recently, when she bagged a three-film deal with Shoojit Sircar and John Abraham's co-production. That's not all, she has already finished shooting for the first of the three slated releases and will be seen in the lead.

When asked Ridhima about it, she confirmed the news saying, "Yes! I've already finished shooting for the first one of the three. And I am reading scripts for the future projects. It should be out this year after Dil Dhadakne Do. Shooting for this other film was very different experience from shooting Zoya's film but fun nevertheless."

For the uninitiated, Ridhima has already made her international innings and her Hollywood debut with the Oscar nominated, 'Ballad of Rustom'. This talented actress is said to have studied with none other than Toby Maquire of 'Spiderman' fame at the Larry Moss's studio. Ridhima was also the part of Julia Roberts' 'Eat Pray Love' production team. The actress is now all set to make her debut in B-town.

Earlier, Ridhima has been the face of beauty brands such as Ponds, Kaya Skin and shot campaigns for Vodafone, Coca Cola, Titan and E bay. She also acted in the Dubai segment of "The Owner" that holds Guinness Book of World Record for being a film which was directed by 25 filmmakers.

After a sabbatical, actor Abhay Deol, actress Diana Penty and director Mudassar Aziz, are coming together for Aanand L. Rai's production tentatively titled 'Happy Bhaag Jayegi'. This is the first time that the lead pair would be seen together for a film. Both Abhay and Diana have taken their time, and Diana specially will be seen on the silver screen after 'Cocktail', which released two years ago.
