A Salman Khan starrer always makes news. And when there is Shilpa Shetty for company, things obviously turn hot. The same is happening in the case of 'Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar' that gets set for a release on July 24th. While everyone is now aware about the film as a light hearted story of a newly wed couple and little squabbles they have, let us make you aware about some lesser known facts about the film.

a) Believe it or not, but the film was launched way back in 2000. In fact its shooting got over in 2002 and since then has been waiting for a release.

b) Its music was released way back in October 2004 and the film was even readied for a Diwali 2004 release before things failed to run as per the plans.

c) This is the 4th time that Salman Khan and Shilpa Shetty are working together. They have earlier been seen in 'Auzaar', 'Phir Milenge' and 'Garv'. They could also have been sharing frames together if Mukul S. Anand's dream project 'Dus' would have been completed!

d) The film was earlier titled 'Dil Churake Chal Diye'. Post the success of Salman Khan's 'Mujhse Shaadi Karogi', the title was changed to 'Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya'

e) Film's director K.S. Adhiyaman made his Bollywood debut with 'Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam', again starring Salman Khan

f) Incidentally 'Hum Tumhare Hai Sanam' too took a number of years before hitting the marquee. Thankfully it turned out to be a good success.

g) This one takes the cake! While SKPGY was rotting in the cans, its director Adhiyaman quietly went down south and remade the film in Tamil. Titled Priyasakhi, the film starred Madhavan and Sadaa and went on to be a success!
