As per some reports emerging on Friday, Donald Trump has asked people to inject themselves with disinfectants or drink bleaching powder to keep coronavirus at bay. Fact-checkers leaning towards the President of the US have, however, clarify that he didn't make the outrageous statement.

"Trump didn't tell people to inject bleach to stop coronavirus. He told scientists to look into the effect of injecting bleach to stop coronavirus," Matthew Gertz writes.

"Seems President Trump's wondering whether scientists could develop a safe from of disinfectant that could work inside the body wasn't a bad idea (they have already been studying it). So Fake News had to spin it into 'he was telling people on their own to drink bleach'," says a social media influencer.
