While WHO is talking about social distancing, and asking people to not attend events or throw parties, something unbelievable happened in Telangana. The Telangana state is seeing a spike in the number of cases with each day. Meanwhile, IT Minister KTR and members of TRS party, held a meeting at Necklace Road, to announce the launch of Neera Café.
At this café, customers will be able to enjoy Neera, a drink extracted from toddy palm, which turns into toddy on fermentation. The foundation for the state’s first government-owned Neera stall was laid on Thursday.
Well, this event has been covered by national television also but not for the concept of the café, but for the number of people who attended it. Yes. This event was densely packed, raising concerns over the safety of the leaders and public present there. Many journalists and photographers were also present at the event.
As per the reports, more than 200 people were present at this event and many were seen not wearing the masks at all. At times where social distancing is needed and politicians need to set an example, KTR has not followed the norms of social distancing.
This makes Telanganites worry about their safety as well.
