Megastar Chiranjeevi has been in the news ever since producer NV Prasad recently delivered a "naked truth" (his own words). He said that Chiru had to sell a real estate property in Chennai while merging his political party, Praja Rajyam Party, into the Congress party more than a decade ago.
"Many people have been blabbering that Chiranjeevi garu was for sale as a politician. Not many know that he became indebted after forming the PRP. He could clear off his loans only by selling his Krishna Gardens property near Prasad Labs in Chennai. He sold off such a huge property in order to extricate himself out of debts," NV Prasad said the other day at the success event of 'GodFather'.
Reports say that the Krishna Gardens property that Chiru once owned was one acre in size. He bought the property from Superstar Krishna in 1993 by shelling out Rs 25 Cr. Its present value, in the wake of development in Chennai, stands at Rs 300 Cr as per some estimates.
If this pegged real estate value is true, then the 'Bholaa Shankar' Megastar may have made losses to the tune of Rs 300 Cr.
