Anu Emmanuel debuted to films through Mollywood as a child artist. It was the 2011 film Swapna Sanchari` that gave her the recognition as an actress. Later she came back as the heroine opposite Nivin Pauly in Action Hero Biju` in 2016.

Unconfirmed reports are coming in that the actress is roped in to play the heroine of Vikram in the prestigious project of Gautham Menon titled Dhruva Natchathiram`. There was a grapevine earlier that actress Nayantara was the choice for the role, but it was rubbished as rumor by the director.
The project Dhruva Natchathiram` was taking its rounds for quiet few years. Initially it was stated that Surya would do the lead role. But Surya got out of it due to creative differences with Gautham Menon.

Anu Emmanuel is currently busy with her Telugu projects Kittu Unnadu Jagratha` and Thupparivaalan`.

She lost a Mollywood project with Dulquer Salmaan recently due to date clashes.
