Prince William attends the Diana Legacy Awards at the Science Museum in London, joined by stalwarts of the world of music and film in honor of his late mother, Princess Diana.
The Prince of Wales then proceeded to inform the audience how, in fact, the Diana Award was celebrating its 25th anniversary. “This is the path that my mother believed—that young people have the power to change the world,” he said. William further spoke on the charity's inspirational work, enabling young people across the world through The Princess’s lessons to give back.
In his absence, William acknowledged his wife, Kate Middleton, who is now recovering from an abdominal operation. He distributed awards to 20 people during the ceremony.
However, the interesting bit of it all is that, deduced from what Prince Harry was set to join later, following the exit of Prince William, pregnant Meghan. Such tension has been in the air since Harry withdrew from the royal family in 2020, with recent disputes over the royal family's security protection.
In Harry and Meghan Markle's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, such public hostility was the last straw in which he hinted at a distant relationship between him and William. Harry once again underlined such a divergence in his memoir, "Spare," set for publication in 2023.
Despite family challenges, both princes maintain commitments to their duties, even amid personal turmoil.
