The Telugu film industry had completed 75 years by 2006. The industry has started the film production in Telugu in 1931 and to mark the completion of 75 years of Telugu Film Industry, several prominent film personalities have come forward to hold a grand function under the leadership of Dr D Ramanaidu.

It was planned that the celebrations should raise an eyebrow of the entire Indian Film Industry and the three-day function would be held on January 26, 27 and 28. All the 24 departments in the film industry are participating in the grand celebrations for these three days and the industry had declared a holiday for those three days.

The function would begin at 4 pm on January 26 and continue till 11 pm. Again the function would restart at 11 am on January 27 and continue till 11 pm.

The final day function would also be held between 11 am and 11 pm on January 28. Power Star Pawan Kalyan, Yuva Samrat Nagarjuna and Prince Maheshbabu would perform on the stage during the function.

Musical nights, entertainers, dramas would be held for these three days. The industry is also holding quiz competitions and the winners would be awarded to the tune of Rs 10 lakh. Several old photographs, equipment used right from the beginning of the film industry would be showcased in an exhibition.
