Sooraj Barjatya's next film after 'Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon', 'Vivah', is round the corner and the dialogues promo of the film is out. Though the songs haven't really meant with an encouraging response by the film lovers, the latest promo is expected to turn the tide for the film since it boasts of a good emotional quotient.

The promo's prime sequence is the one where Anupam Kher explains the virtue of marriage to his son Shahid Kapoor. He tells him that a girl like Amrita Rao coming in his life would mean a lot since she would be like a 'prerna' [inspiration] for him. Marrying a simple yet intelligent girl like her would bring a lot of good fortune to the household since that would result in doubling the happiness and eradicating the ugly moments.

Cut to Lata Sabharwal, who plays Shahid's 'bhabhi' in the film. She is shown talking about the beauty of courtship period since that's the time that brings along some of the most divine moments between an engagement and a marriage. This pretty much establishes the essence of the film.

Apart from all these sharing of values, there are some light moments aplenty in the films, as indicated by a visibly happy Shahid who declares to Amrita that he would make it a point to visit Madhopur [Amrita's home town] at least a month a year and stay in her house, come what may! And people be damned if they called him a 'ghar jawaai'!

Interspersions of portions from the songs, scenes like Amrita serving food to everyone, the young ones walking the garden - everything has been done in a tender way which is quite characteristic of a Sooraj Barjatya style of narration.

There are moments of heartfelt talks too when Amrita, in a beautiful getup, confesses candidly to Shahid that when he would come with his 'baraat' to her place, 'saari rotiyan jal jaayegi'! Why? Because all the girls in her neighborhood would drop everything mid-way, including cooking, and just stare at his persona!

Just when one thought that Vivah is yet another film from the house of Barjatyas about relationships, virtues and tender moments comes a twist in the tale. There is a shot of a burning house when the marriage celebrations are under process and real shocker comes in the form of a bride's 'palki' being carried away from the fire!

What has gone wrong? Does the film meet its conclusion with the tragedy? Or does the story build from here mid-way through the narration? Is it a simple film about families or there is more to it?

Come November 10th and we should have all the answers as the film releases all over. The film also stars Alok Nath, Seema Biswas, Sameer Soni and Manoj Joshi in principal roles.
