The famous Hollywood actor and environmental activist Leonardo Di Caprio has immensely appreciated the biggest solar power generation park at Pavagada near Tumkur district in Karnataka.

In a tweet message Di Caprio expressing happiness on the distinction of Karnataka state has expressed happiness. This has been reported in Los Angeles Times report in a re-tweet. Di Caprio is working on preserving earth biodiversity and supporting renewable energy. Water Planet and Global Warming is also his foundation.

The Solar power biggest of the universe on13000 hectare the complete work would be complete by September 2018. In the first stage 600 mega watt of power would be ready by December and target is 6000 mega watt. It also generates employment for 4000 people.

The Karnataka chief minister Siddaramaiah made formal inauguration of it. Power minister DK Shivakumar disclosed intention of serving 2 crore consumers with good power supply through Solar Park.
