After its grand success in Tamil Nadu, Rahman starrer Dhuruvangal 16, one of the most talked about Kollywood movies of recent times, is all set to hit the Kerala theatres. The movie which completed its 50 days of theatrical run in the state, was released last year in December, and opened to excellent responses from audience and celebrities alike.

Soon, the Karthick Naren directorial became the hot topic of discussion among Kerala movie buffs as well. And now, the movie is all set to hit the silver screens in Kerala. As per the latest report, the theatrical rights of the movie has been acquired by a production company named Writer Imaginations, owned by Mahavishnu, a 22-year-old youngster.

The movie's director Karthick Naren, who is just 21 years old, shared the news through his Facebook page: “Kerala rights of #D16 has been sold to Mahavishnu Krishnamoorthy. A fellow 22yr old who is stepping into the film fraternity through his maiden production house Writer`s imagination`. Received lot of offers from big banners but being a youngster its not fair to reject the dream of another. Money does count but not at the cost of your moral satisfaction. Hope this breaks the age stereotypes“.
