The much-anticipated release of 'Dhruva Natchathiram,' a collaborative effort between Chiyaan Vikram and director Gautham Menon, faced another setback as the scheduled November 24 theatrical release was once again postponed. The film, grappling with financial challenges for the past six years, prompted Gautham Menon to address fans through a statement, shedding light on the ongoing struggles and expressing regret for the delay.
In his statement, Gautham Menon explained the complexities behind the delay, apologizing to fans and assuring them that efforts were underway to resolve the financial issues within the next day or two. The film, which commenced production in 2017, has witnessed multiple delays, leaving eager audiences waiting for its eventual release.
Despite the setbacks, Gautham Menon remains optimistic, thanking fans for their unwavering support and expressing confidence in overcoming the challenges soon. "The support for the film is heartwarming and has kept us going. Just a few more days, and we'll arrive," he conveyed.
However, the situation has escalated with two legal cases filed against Gautham Menon and his team related to the film's release. The Madras High Court directed Menon to repay Rs 2 crore to All In Pictures for the film's release before 10.30 am on November 24. Unfortunately, the payment was not made, leading to further complications.
In response, Gautham Menon and the concerned parties are set to engage in multiple meetings in the coming days to reach an agreement. The outcome of these discussions will provide clarity on the film's release.
'Dhruva Natchathiram,' a spy action thriller featuring Chiyaan Vikram, boasts a stellar cast including Ritu Varma, R Parthiban, Radhika Sarathkumar, Simran, Vinayakan, and Dhivyadharshini. In addition to directing, Gautham Menon has also produced the film, with technical contributions from editor Anthony and composer Harris Jayaraj. The film's fate now hangs in the balance, awaiting resolution of the financial challenges that have plagued its release for years.
