Tamil cinema fans celebrated with much vigor in January 2017 when it was announced that Chiyaan Vikram and Gautham Menon were joining hands for the action thriller 'Dhruva Natchathiram'.  Filming began with a few glitches as Anu Emmanuel the leading lady opted out of the project and Ritu Verma replaced her.  There were also a couple of changes in the cinematographers and finally Manoj Paramahamsa filmed most of it.

The official teaser of 'Dhruva Natchathiram' released on June 5th, 2018 was well received and anticipations rose sky-high with production values and style on par with international films.  After several announcements for release the film has been stalled to this day almost four years since its start.

Now there is good news for fans of both Vikram and GVM as the director in his latest interaction has let out that the post production of 'Dhruva Natchathiram' is underway and is on the verge of completion.  He also shared that Vikram would be dubbing his portions soon and a small portion remaining to be shot will also be done after the lockdown making way for an early release.  It is said that Vels Films International has gotten behind the project.

'Dhruva Natchathiram' has music score by Harris Jayaraj and the ensemble cast compromises of Vikram, Ritu Varma, Aishwarya Rajesh, Radhika Sarathkumar and Parthiban.
