However, when Karthik goes on a fun trip to Poland, Suhana joins him there. But due to a test, Suhana sets to gauge his love, Karthik breaks up with her and prepares for an engagement with another girl. However, even with the girl from Poland, Karthik's engagement falls through before it happens. Later, after resolving their differences, Karthik and Suhana decide to be together. But their love faces opposition from Karthik’s father (Sai Kumar) and Suhana's father and grandfather (Vinay Varma, Banerjee), who stand in their way due to old grudges.

Analysis

Director Sai Kishore Machha chose an old story for his film but gave it a fresh treatment, which worked well. Though the love story follows a routine pattern, the newly added scenes and the locations used to elevate the mood of the story bring a sense of novelty. In the second half, he introduces Vennela Kishore's character, who brings humor and makes the audience laugh throughout the journey. Vennela Kishore's dialogues, acting, and fun-filled performance made a huge impact in the second half. His clean comedy carried the film with strength.

The comedy track chosen by Sai Kishore worked well and reminded audiences of films by E.V.V. and Srinu Vytla, thanks to the variety of characters. Coming to the performances, Chetan Krishna made a strong attempt to impress with his debut. He overcame the typical flaws seen in new actors. He carefully avoided the usual rookie mistakes, giving a mature performance that made his character believable. His look and acting were solid, and he showed promise as a good actor for Telugu cinema if he continues to improve in terms of performance and ease.

As for Hebah Patel, there is no need for special mention. She has already proven her performance skills in several hit films, and here too, she shares great chemistry with the new hero. Hebah showcased more than just glamour and delivered a strong performance, carrying a part of the film's weight on her shoulders. The music by Gopi Sundar is a major highlight. The production values, dialogues, and editing are apt.

The film Dhoom Dhaam presents an old story. However, the speed of the story, the romance, love, and comedy in the scenes make the movie feel fresh and engaging. Directed by Sai Kumar Machha and with Gopi Mohan's screenplay formula, the film is likely to appeal to Telugu audiences. For two hours, some elements allow the audience to enjoy and laugh without any discomfort.

Verdict

Overall, Dhoom Dhaam is not for those who are looking for novelty and variety in films. If you are looking for fun and comedy, give Dhoom Dhaam a chance at the theater this week.
