Australia, batting first had lost openers Carey(5) and Finch(14) to Bhuvaneshwar Kumar. While Usman Khawaja 34(51) and Marsh 39(54) steadied the team with a partnership, Chahal dismissed both the batsmen. Handscomb scored a carefully constructed 58(63), before Chahal struck again.
Except for Maxwell 26(19) no other Aussie batsman could withstand the Indian bowling, and Aussies got all out for 230 in 48.4 overs, with Yuzvendra Chahal having an impressive 6/42.The Indian innings started disastrously, losing Rohit Sharma for 9(17) and then Stoinis dismissed Dhawan for 23(46).
