Dhoni, a statement against education system

As an actor, Prakash Raj has felt that cinema is a medium to uplift the audience, and not to cause a debasement of tastes. For such a thinking man's actor, it is natural to choose a film like Dhoni, which makes a statement against an education system that curtails individual freedom and seeks to make machines of our children.

Starring himself in the role of a middle-class man who wants to make his son an MBA professional and Master Akash (Puri Jagannadh's son) as a child with a knack for cricketing, the film is scheduled to release in February. The audio is slated for January release.

The music is by Illayaraja, while the lyrics are by Sirivennela Seetharama Shastry. We are ensured of a treat in the form of thought-provoking lyrics and amusing music. What's more, Dhoni has much in store on the technical front too. Its cinematography is by KV Guhan.

Produced by Prakash Raj himself on Duet Movies, the film is touted to be a cocktail of emotions.

With Kanjeevaram, Prakash Raj had proved that his heart was with the victims of industrialization. It looks like he is all set to make a forceful point on a bland education system now.
