With hit films like 'Sontham, Venky and Andarivadu' to his credit, Sreenu Vaitla had come before the audiences with Vishnu in the lead for 'Dhee'.

After several hiccups, the film had saw the light and hit the screen, reportedly with the help of Suresh Productions. Mallidi Satyanarayana Reddy who impressed with the story narrated by Kona Venkat, chose Sreenu Vaitla, as he thought that he would do justice to the film. Of course, he tried his best in bringing out the film with good tempo. However, it ended up as a routine commercial formula type movie.

Srinivasa Rao @ Babloo (Vishnu) gets a job with with Shankar Goud (Srihari), who runs a mafia. Ballu is his opponent in the city. Once Ballu's son (Ajay) kills Goud's follower and in revenge, Goud kills him. This ignites rage in Ballu, who decides to kill Goud's sister Pooja (Genelia) in order teach Goud how the death of blood relative will be. Fearing attack by Ballu, Goud brings Pooja, who stays in Mumbai, to Hyderabad. Babloo befriends with Pooja and they both fall in love in no time. In this backdrop, Goud decides to marry her to Ajay (Akash) who was a doctor in the US. Pooja and Babloo elope to Yadagirigutta and get married in presence of Babloo's parents. Learning this, Ballu's men attack Pooja and Babloo saves her. Later, Pooja returns to Goud.

After a few twists, Goud's wife (Devi) realises that Pooja and Babloo got married, though it was kept a close guarded secret from Goud. Lured by money given by Ballu, Goud's close follower (Brahmaji) backstabs Goud and joins Ballu. He manages to hand over both Goud and Pooja to Ballu. Instead of killing Goud, Ballu leaves him injuring seriously but abducts Pooja. In the end, Babloo joins Goud and rescues Pooja. The film ends with  Babloo and Pooja becoming one.

The power-packed performance of Srihari in a key role as heroine's brother is a highlight of the movie. The glamour of Genelia supported it further.

Comedy track with Sunil, Brahmanandam, Jayaprakash Reddy is worth watching.

Genelia gave a brilliant performance as a chivalrous girl and she gave a tremendous in her performance. She looked gorgeous in songs. The action scenes and comedy scenes were perfectly shot. Vishnu looked slim in a couple of songs.

The film begins with an above average talk, but the performance by Srihari would definitely take the film towards a success path.
