Director Inder Kumar is going to make the Hindi version of Dhee on a bigger canvas than Srinu Vytla originally made in Telugu. It is because the film will have Amitabh Bacchan reprising the role of Chandra Mohan, while Abhishek Bacchan will play Vishnu and Sanjay Dutt will play Sri Hari.

It may be noted that though Chandra Mohan's role in Telugu was confined to a few scenes, the presence of Big B in Hindi would entail fine-tuning and re-writing the role to suit his gigantic image.

The last time Abhishek and Amitabh were expected to reprise two roles in the remake of a Telugu movie was Okkadu. It was planned that Big B would play Mukesh Rishi's role, as the hero's father, in the movie. The project was shelved and the film was never remade.

It will be challenge for Inder Kumar to re-write Chandra Mohan's role. On the positive side, he is in an advantageous position with everything else already in place. Dhee had a good screenplay and elements like comedy in good doses.
