Dhanush’s “Kara” Likely to Arrive on OTT Soon

After completing its theatrical run, Dhanush starrer “Kara” is now reportedly preparing for its digital debut. The rural action thriller, directed by Vignesh Raja, has been creating fresh buzz online with reports about its OTT release date.

Released in theatres on April 30, 2026, the film marked the latest directorial venture of Vignesh Raja after the critically acclaimed “Por Thozhil.” The movie featured Mamitha Baiju as the female lead, while senior actors K. S. Ravikumar and Jayaram appeared in important supporting roles.

Although “Kara” opened with decent curiosity among audiences, the film received mixed reactions after release and could not sustain strong momentum at the box office. However, the movie continued to attract attention for its raw rural backdrop and intense action elements.

Now, according to industry buzz, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix on May 28, 2026. While an official announcement is yet to be made, reports suggest that the film will stream in multiple languages including Tamil and Telugu.

The movie is produced by Ishari K. Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International in association with Think Studios.

On the technical side, the film features cinematography by Theni Eswar, editing by Sreejith Sarang, and music composed by G. V. Prakash Kumar.
