Actor Dhanush had a release last week with Asuran directed by Vetrimaran, and the movie which was based on the novel Vekkai written by Poomani is produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu's V Creations. The movie has received great response from both audience and critics.

With even celebrities and film personalities praising the movie, director Pa Ranjith has appreciated the acting of Dhanush, the direction of Vetrimaran and producer Thanu for confidently producing the movie and the entire team, and ended his tweet with the lines from his movie Kaala "Nilame engal urimai".

Incidentally both the movies Kaala and Asuran were about oppressed people fighting for their lands and their rights. Asuran also stars Malayalam actress Manju Warrier, Ken Karunas, Pasupathy, Teejay, Balaji Sakthivel and Prakashraj and has music by GV Prakash.
