Dhanush is an international actor now and he's currently shooting on his magnum opus 'Captain Miller', directed by Arun Matheshwaran. The versatile performer will wrap up shooting for this film in May and begin works for his milestone 50th movie, 'D50', to be directed by himself in June.
Now, the latest hot news is that Dhanush has won the youth icon award at the age of 40. He was bestowed with the award during the CII Dakshin summit in Chennai. At the closing ceremony of the event, Dhanush received the Youth Icon Award from Union Minister Anurag Thakur. The actor also spoke about his journey in the industry till date.
Dhanush said, "My sincere thanks to CII for Youth Icon Award and it's a great honour. I never thought I will come this far and also win this Youth Icon award at the age of 40 (smiles). It's just a reminder that there is always so much to dream, achieve and conquer. With the kind of looks that I possessed, it wasn't accepted in the industry when I entered it."
"Though this was the scenario, I kept on dreaming to become so many things and here I am. I have a lot more to achieve and I take this opportunity to thank my parents, almighty and wonderful directors without whom I wouldn't have made it here," the Asuran actor added.
