Here's how Dhanush was cast alongside Chris Evans and Ryan Gosling

Tamil and Bollywood superstar Dhanush will soon be seen in Russo Brothers' upcoming Netflix film 'The Gray Man'. One of the most expensive Netflix projects of all time, the film also stars popular actors like Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans and Ana De Armas. In a recent conversation with ETimes, Russo Brothers shared a thing or two about Dhanush's character and how they got him on board.
Apparently the director duo noticed Dhanush while looking for inspiration for fight scenes in Marvel movies and decided to cast him as an assassin in 'The Gray Man'. Joe Russo stated, When we were working on the Gray Man, it was the perfect opportunity because it was such a global story. The concept is that assassins from all over the world get hired to stop the Gray Man. We thought it would be fantastic to get Dhanush to play the deadliest assassin of them all who is the one who actually does stop him.
He further added, We had no idea if he would respond to the script or if he had any interest in working on a movie like this. We are so grateful that he did because we wrote the part for him and it would have been really sad if he said no.
'The Gray Man' will start streaming on Netflix from 22nd of July.
