Today's Birthday boy Dhanush is presently busy shooting for director Vetrimaran's ambitious trilogy 'Vada Chennai'. The shooting of the film has been progressing in a in Chennai for the past several weeks.

Vetrimaran has revealed that the film deals with the underworld politics of North Chennai that spans across 35-40 years. Now we learn from a reliable source that the portions being shot currently, pertain to the year 1977. The set is filled with properties that will resemble Chennai before 40 years.

Sources reveal that the first part of the 'Vada Chennai' trilogy will hit the screens in the second half of 2017. The film stars Vijay Sethupathi, Amala Paul. Andrea, Samuthirakani, Kishore, Pawan and many other prominent actors alongside Dhanush. Santhosh Narayanan is rendering the musical score for this film
