Actor Dhanush has played a variety of roles in his movie career, and while he recently played a 18 year old for the younger version of Anbu in Vada Chennai trilogy's first installment, he'll be seen in another contrasting look in his next.

In a recent media interaction, director Vetrimaran revealed that Dhanush will be seen sporting a 45 year old look in his next, Asuran which is based on Vekkai novel by Poomani. Dhanush will be seen playing dual roles as father and son. 

The movie also stars Manju Warrier as the pair of the father character, and versatile actor Pasupathi plays her brother, a godfather to the family. Ken Karunas, son of actor Karunas plays the younger version of the son's character while director Balaji Sakthivel plays a grey shaded role. Kalaipuli S Thaanu has produced Asuran, which has music by GV Prakash.
