Official! 'Vaathi' becomes the career-best collection in Dhanush's filmography - Deets

Dhanush's recent film, 'Vaathi', debuted on the big screens on February 17th. The multi-talented actor played Balamurugan, a revolutionary teacher in the period action entertainer with a strong social message. It opened to positive reviews and did very well at the box office in Tamil and Telugu states.
Vaathi was directed by Venky Atluri and jointly produced by Fortune Four Cinemas, Sithara Entertainment and Srikara Studios. The movie crossed the 100 crores mark in just 15 days and the production houses officially announced this on social media. After a month of theatrical run, Vaathi made its OTT debut via the streaming giant Netflix on March 17.
On Friday, the makers officially revealed the total box office collection of Vaathi as it ended its theatrical run. The film has collected more than Rs 118 crore worldwide in both languages and became Dhanush's career-best collection. A special poster was launched by the team regarding the same. Meanwhile, Dhanush is now shooting for his magnum opus 'Captain Miller'.
