Actor Dhanush's is presently busy with the final leg of works related to the release of his production venture 'Thangamagan' and he is also acting in an yet to be titled film that is being directed by Prabhu Solomon.

Amidst these two projects. Dhanush's new film to be directed by Durai Senthilkumar has been launched with a formal pooja at the temple located in AVM Studios, Chennai. The film touted to be a political thriller has been titled as 'Kodi' which means flag. The title itself suggests the political base of the script. Dhanush will be playing dual roles for the first time in his career.He will be playing the roles of two brothers.

Trisha and Shamlee have been roped in as the lead heroines. Trisha who has missed two opportunities in the past to act with Dhanush has finally paired up with the highly talented star for this film. She will be the pair of elder Dhanush and her character reportedly has some negative shades. Shamlee will be the arm candy of younger Dhanush in the film.

Producer S.Madan of Escape Artists Motion Pictures will be producing the film along with Dhanush.

The pooja held today was attended by Dhanush, Durai Senthilkumar, Madan and director-producer Vettrimaran.

Other cast and crew members of 'Kodi' are expected to be confirmed soon.
