Dhanush's Mass announcement is not about Rajini or Vijay

A few days back Dhanush has hinted about a mass announcement and he has said he will make it on November 9. He has promptly made the announcement a few minutes ago.
There was wide spread expectations among media persons and film enthusiasts that the announcement will be about anything related to Dhanush's production venture with Superstar Rajinikanth and director Pa.Ranjith. While a few others speculated that Dhanush may announce a production venture with Ilayathalapathy Vijay directed by his brother Selvaraghavan.
But the multi-talented star has surprised everyone with his announcement. The Mass announcement is that Dhanush will play the lead role in 'Velai Illa Pattadhari 2' the sequel to his 2014 blockbuster. While 'VIP' was his landmark 25th film, its sequel will be his 33rd.
If this surprise is not enough, the sequel will be directed by Dhanush's sister-in-law and Superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya and it will be produced by Kalaipuli.S.Thanu's V Creations in association with Dhanush's Wunderbar Films Corporation. Sean Roldon will take care of the musical score and the film's shoot will commence in December 2016. The film will be made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual.
Earlier director Soundarya had announced a project titled as 'Nilavukku En Mel Ennadi Kobam' to be produced by Thanu and Sean Roldon's music. Reports suggested that Dhanush will play the lead role in that film. It is yet to be clarified whether 'NEEK' has been changed as 'VIP 2' or they are two different projects.
However the announcement of 'VIP 2' is mass enough for Dhanush fans and general movie buffs to celebrate.
