Dhanush takes avatar as Lord Muruga!

We are not talking about any remake venture of devotional films like ‘Kandhan Karunai’. So, stay cool people!

Every film industry in the south is looking forward for better stories. Whenever some new narratives come up in any of the four languages, the makers in some way or the other try to give it to their respective language audience.

In reality, remakes between the south Indian languages are pretty common because all the four language people share more or less the same cultures, attitudes and beliefs. Right?

As remakes continue to rule the roost, director Subramaniam Siva of ‘Yogi’ fame is planning to crate a remake of Malayalam superhit ‘Nandhanam’ in Tamil. The surprise element is a cameo by Dhanush as a human avatar of Lord Muruga, which was portrayed as Lord Krishna in the original. (We remember the intro scene of his film ‘Thiruvilaiyadal Aarambam’ and his godly laughter standing inside a bus). It’s so sure that the role will suit him to the T.

Ananya will appear in the role that Navya Nair has done in the original, while Prithviraj himself will don the lead in the Tamil version as well.

The Tamil screenplay is being written by writer-director Viji, who wrote the screenplay of ‘Mozhi’ and also wrote and directed ‘Vellithirai’. Produced by Mohan, the movie will start its shoot at Pazhani by the 14th of this month say the sources.
