Dhanush, one of the very few actors to clinch multiple National Awards, is now set to deliver his milestone 50th film, "Raayan," this Friday. Recently, the grand audio launch event for the film unfolded in Chennai, where Dhanush's speech generated significant buzz among his fans.
During his speech, Dhanush reflected on the aspirations he held for himself as a teenager, inspired by former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and Superstar Rajinikanth. He shared, "If I had known that purchasing a house in Poes Garden would become such a big deal, I would have stayed in a small apartment.
Why can't I just buy a house in Poes Garden? If I was on the street, should I stay on the street? There is a little story behind me buying a home in Poes Garden. When I was 16, my friend and I decided to visit Thalaivar Rajinikanth's house. We inquired from some people about its location and learned it was in Poes Garden.
We went to Poes Garden and saw Superstar's house. We felt great satisfaction. On our way back, we noticed another very crowded house. When I asked whose house it was, they said it belonged to former chief minister Jayalalithaa.
Seeing Thalaivar Rajinikanth's house on one side and Jayalalithaa's house on the other side, a small seed was planted in my mind at the age of 16 that one day I should buy a house in Poes Garden. That seed has grown into a big tree today with me purchasing a home in Poes Garden after 20 years of hard work."
This heartfelt revelation not only captivated the audience but also offered a glimpse into Dhanush's journey and the dreams that have driven him to his remarkable success. A video of Dhanush's speech about his success is doing rounds on the internet now.
